Course Description
Earth and Environmental Science class (GS2231) has been offered from this semester by prof. Kyung-Eun Min. (3 credits, Tue/Fri 9:00-10:15) This course aims for understanding the interactions among the living creatures on earth with their surroundings based on scientific issues and principles. The approach of this course covers the basic concepts and possible solutions for sustainable living by providing a historical perspective and, information on economic and political realities. And also it discusses the role of different social experiences, and integrate this with the crucial science to describe the natural world and how we affect it. This class will draw the students' attention to the environmental impact on their daily lives as well as some of the fundamental background for other advanced courses.
